OPERATION: OVERHAUL

A free wasteland flying adventure about getting the sky back online.

How to play

Years ago the Blackout silenced every satellite, GPS fix, transponder and ADS-B signal. Aviation survives in scattered outposts, and you are a salvage pilot with a patched-together ultralight. Hop across the map, burn fuel, loot ruins and airliner graveyards, and fight off sky raiders with a flare launcher.

Fog hides everything except the cells near you. Salvage a compass, repair a VOR receiver, rebuild a GPS and finally assemble a working Stratux to see traffic, weather and the location of the last ground station. Restore it to win. You get 60 actions per day in the main game, or try the 30-action Daily Run on a seeded map that everyone shares.

Why pilots like it

The game follows the way real navigation has layered up: dead reckoning with a compass, VOR radials that only work near a station, GPS position, and finally ADS-B In, which shows you the traffic around you. A real Stratux is an open-source receiver that listens for ADS-B on 978 and 1090 MHz and sends traffic and weather to a tablet. Learn how it works in How ADS-B works, or get a Stratux for your own cockpit.

FAQ

Is Operation: Overhaul free to play?

Yes. It runs in any modern browser on desktop or phone, with no download, no account and no ads.

How many turns do I get each day?

The main game gives you 60 actions per day, refreshed at local midnight, and your progress is saved. Unlimited mode in settings removes the cap but disables the all-time leaderboard. The Daily Run is a separate 30-action challenge on a seeded map.

What is the Stratux in the game?

A real Stratux is an open-source ADS-B receiver that shows nearby traffic and weather on a tablet. In the game, building one is how you finally see the whole sky again.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. A D-pad and action buttons appear on touch screens, and everything is tap friendly.
