Higher or Lower: Spec Sheet
A free airplane trivia game: two aircraft, one hidden number, and a streak to protect.
How to play
- The left card shows an aircraft and one of its numbers, such as cruise speed.
- The right card shows another aircraft with that number hidden.
- Tap HIGHER or LOWER. Right answers keep the streak going, and one wrong answer ends the run.
- The stat rotates among cruise speed, max takeoff weight, first flight year, wingspan, range, service ceiling, seats and number built.
Why pilots like it
Pilots tend to know these numbers well, and comparing them shows how far aircraft designs differ. A Cessna 172 has a wingspan of about 36 feet, while a Boeing 747 spans about 196 feet. Concorde's service ceiling of roughly 60,000 feet dwarfs a Skyhawk's 14,000. Comparing these numbers is also a painless way to learn type data before a checkride.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes. Endless mode and the daily Spec Sheet are both free to play in your browser.
What is the daily Spec Sheet?
Each local calendar day has a seeded run of 30 pairs. Everyone who plays that day gets the same pairs in the same order, and the streak goes to today's board.
Are the numbers exact?
No. Figures are rounded, conservative published values, shown with a tilde (~). Where we were not confident of a value, that stat is left out for that aircraft.
