CARGO WARS 2002
The classic BBS space-trading door game, relocated to a well-lit ramp near you.
How to play
You are a freight pilot with a Cessna Caravan, 5,000 credits and 250 turns per day. Type a sector number to fly there (the autopilot plots the shortest airway), press T at a port to trade, and haggle: the port names a price, you counter, and a few cheeky offers add up. Buy cheap where the class letters say a port sells, sell dear where one buys, and watch prices move as stock is drained and recovers.
- Dodge or fight gremlin raiders with escort drones and deflectors, or pay the tribute.
- Claim backcountry strips, ferry in student pilots and build a hub up to level six.
- Find the hidden OSHKOSH sector to trade up from the Caravan to the Imperial StarFreighter.
- On mobile every option is a button and sector numbers have a keypad.
The Daily Universe is one shared galaxy per day: same aircraft, same 250 turns, score is your net worth divided by 1,000. A whole day of turns takes about 15 to 25 minutes.
Why pilots like it
Trading is flight planning in disguise: weigh fuel burn against margin, pick routes that keep you out of weather and trouble, and never fly with a full load into a short field. Real airline cargo works the same way, and a Stratux receiver shows the same traffic picture you would want on the ramp. See how ADS-B works or get a Stratux.
