Fleet Merge
Paper airplane to Space Shuttle, one merge at a time. Free in your browser.
How to play
Slide the fleet with the arrow keys, WASD or a swipe. Every move adds a new aircraft to the board. Two of the same type merge into the next one up, and you score for each merge.
- The ladder has fourteen aircraft: paper airplane, glider, Piper Cub, Cessna 152 and 172, Bonanza, Baron, King Air, Citation, 737, 747, Concorde, SR-71 and Space Shuttle.
- Reach the 747 for a victory. You can keep flying or land and save your score.
- If no moves are left, the hangar is full and the run ends.
- Use GO-AROUND to undo a move. P pauses and M mutes.
- Open the Fleet Gallery to read a fact about every aircraft you have unlocked.
Why pilots like it
The ladder is a short history of flight. The Cessna 172 is the most-built aircraft ever made, the Boeing 737 is the best-selling airliner, and the 747 earned the nickname Queen of the Skies.
Merging is also a good habit for a pilot: keep your options open, avoid boxing yourself in, and always have a way out. A go-around is free in this game, and in real life it is always the right call when the approach is not stable.
FAQ
How do you play Fleet Merge?
Swipe, or use the arrow keys or WASD, to slide every aircraft on the 4 by 4 board. Two matching aircraft merge into the next one up the ladder.
What is the goal?
Reach the Boeing 747 for a victory, then keep flying or land and save your score. The ladder keeps going through Concorde and the SR-71 Blackbird all the way to the Space Shuttle.
What is a go-around?
It undoes your last move. You earn one every 500 points and can bank up to three.
Is there a daily challenge?
Yes. Everyone gets the same sequence of new aircraft for the day, with unlimited tries. Your best score goes on the daily board.
