SENIORITY
A swipe-left, swipe-right career in ACARS messages.
How to play
ACARS messages arrive from crew scheduling, the chief pilot, your spouse, the captain and more. Swipe the card left or right (or press the arrow keys, or tap a button) to choose your reply. Dots above the meters show which of the four will move as you drag, and a bigger dot means a bigger move.
The four meters are bank, seniority, sanity and home. If any one hits zero or 100, your career is over. Each reply advances one month, and surviving to mandatory retirement at age 65 means 40 years of decisions. Different ways to end a career are saved to your logbook, along with achievements.
A new daily challenge gives everyone the same cards in the same order, so you can compare how long you lasted with friends.
Why pilots like it
Airline seniority decides your base, your schedule, your pay and your upgrade, so every pilot knows the feeling of a good bid and a bad one. The game squeezes a whole career into a few minutes of small decisions: a trip trade here, a favor for a captain there, a call from home during a delay.
On your own flights, a Stratux ADS-B receiver shows traffic and weather on your tablet. You can read how ADS-B works on the Stratux site.
